The Preliminary Session
Our preliminary session with you is to discuss, in a confidential way, those issues that affect you most deeply. As a first step this would be more generally, only lightly touching on those, but noting where your work will start. It will also discuss the number of support calls you will most likely need.
Usually we woudl suggest six sessions, taking place once a week or once a fortnight. In this call your counsellor will discuss the total confidentiality that he or she will provide. If, after this initial call, you decide you woud like to continue, then it will be between yourself and your counsellor to mutually agree dates and times.
All sessions will be £60. If you should decide that this is not for you, then no further sessions need be made.
We would note however, that most clients retain close relationships with their counsellor, many of which last for several months. Please visit our "We Listen" homepage to get an overview of our therapies.
We provide telephone counselling for a wide range of problems including:
- relationships /marital
- illness and disability
- parenting issues
